My recent convo with Anthony Trucks is one I can’t stop thinking about! Anthony is a former NFL player, three-time American ninja warrior, author, and international keynote speaker. 1. Embrace Responsibility and Action: Anthony emphasizes the importance of taking responsibility for our own lives, regardless of circumstances. As educators, we can model and teach this by encouraging students to take ownership of their learning and actions. When learners understand that they have the power to influence their outcomes, they become more motivated and resilient.

2. Fall in Love with the Process: Anthony teaches us to enjoy the journey rather than focusing solely on the destination. We can help students appreciate the learning process itself by celebrating small victories and milestones. We can encourage learners to find joy in daily efforts and challenges, fostering a love for continuous improvement.

3. Plan for Unplanned Moments: Anthony highlights the importance of being prepared for unexpected challenges. We can teach learners how to anticipate and respond to obstacles with grit and problem-solving skills. By practicing these strategies, students learn to navigate unforeseen difficulties socially, emotionally, and academically with confidence and hope.
